ARC Review and Giveaway:Monarch by Michelle Davidson Argyle

Release Date: September 15 2011
Publisher: Rhemalda Publishing
Format: ARC paperback
Pages: 341
Genre:Mystery/Thriller
Source: Publisher
Goodreads Synopsis:
Nick's life as a CIA spy should be fulfilling, but it has only given him unhappiness, a wife who committed suicide, and two daughters who resent everything he has become. Now, stuck in the Amazon on the last mission of his career, he must track down Matheus Ferreira, a drug lord and terrorist the United States has tried to bring down for years. If he succeeds, he'll have the chance to start his life over again. Just when he's on the brink of catching Ferreira, he's framed for a murder that turns his world upside down. His only chance of survival lies in West Virginia, where Lilian Love, a woman from his past, owns the secluded Monarch Inn. He's safe, but not for long.
My Thoughts:
Monarch is a captivating thriller that left me breathless. Michelle has a great way of being able to tell an amazing story without being too discriptive or overly drawnout and I love that.
I loved the symbolism in Monarch, it was truly amazing. Michelle was able to incorporate the Monarch butterfly into ever aspect of the story and it was extremely impressive.
The action and deception of Monarch was enticing and exhilerating. I had a hard time putting the book down. I haven't read a thriller like this in a long time. Michelle has a rare talent for the written word.
I absolutely love reading whatever Michelle writes. She can truly write any genre. From a different twist on a classic story with Cinders or a thriller/mystery like Monarch.
I loved Monarch. I was hooked from page one and I would not put it down. Even if Thrillers are not your first genre to read you will not want to miss out on Monarch. Michelle will always have a place on my book shelf.
I Give This 5/5 Hearts!

Great review. This sounds like a great read. I read Michelle's Cinders too and really enjoyed it. Put my name into the hat as I would love to win a copy. Thanks. My email: ormondann@gmail.com
I have a signed Cinders book, and I TOTALLY enjoyed that book. It was definitely not what I was expecting at all. If this book is anything like that one, I know that it'll be a best seller.
